We are looking for an Experienced Modeling and Software Engineer to define the End to End ways of working, workflows and data models for DDMS Engineering. This position can be based either in TOULOUSE (Palays) or ELANCOURT (Paris area).

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

The mission of the Digital Engineering Team is to boost effective real time collaboration across organisations, sites, partners and suppliers through lean processes and joint development platforms to meet the program targets.

We orchestrate the roll-out of the digitalization initiatives from DTO and program lines within the perimeter of Engineering with a 1st priority on the various DDMS initiatives.

The successful applicant will define and optimize end 2 end software processes between the different engineering disciplines and serve as the customer proxy to DDMS architecture team. Current DDMS works focuses on the optimization of workflows within one workstream (e.g. Mechanical design, software, etc.), but for a seamless digital thread the full end to end workflow needs to be understood, modelled and optimized.


  • Model, integrate and optimize the end 2 end ways of working, workflow and data model for engineering.

Main responsibilities:

  • Identify key End 2 End workflows and areas of waste

  • Perform Lean workflow analysis and design (DMADV, DMAIC)

  • Develop "to be" end 2 end digital thread together with other DDMS teams and engineering stakeholders

  • Model process in enterprise architecture tool

  • Develop implementation plan together with product owner and workstream leads.

  • Perform change management events (communication, training, management briefings, etc.) to support digital transformation.

Working knowledge and experience we are looking for:

Soft skills:

  • Basic project management

  • Experience in continuous improvement and change management (e.g. Lean / Six Sigma, Airbus LBIP, DRIVER)

  • Working experience in an agile / scrum team

  • High motivation to continuously improve and automate processes applying state-of-the-art technologies as well as Agile and Lean methods

  • Ability to work cross-functionally, cross-company, and in an international environment

  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team

  • Proactive and cooperative working style

  • Strategic and structured thinking

  • Cultural awareness for France, Germany, Italy, Spain

Technical skills:

  • Degree in Information Technology/Software Engineering or equivalent
  • Excellent knowledge wrt to SW integration and API management

  • Excellent knowledge of overall aircraft development process including mechanical, electrical, overall systems engineering, equipment, software, configuration management (ARP 4754)

  • Good knowledge in overall model based systems engineering of large and complex systems, associated methods and tools. CSEP or comparable

  • Good knowledge of overall lifecycle processes beyond engineering, in particular production and in-service

  • Good knowledge of PLM / PDM concepts

  • Good knowledge in digital transformation concepts and technologies (Industry 4.0, DevOps, IOT, Digital Twin, Digital Thread)

  • Good knowledge of military working environment and impact on digitalisation (e.g. security, export control, partner / supplier relationships, national customer needs)

  • Experiences in Engineering, in particular on Software Engineering, Requirements Analysis, Software Design, IV&V, good knowledge in Aircraft Systems, Human Factors Engineering, Safety and Interface Management would be beneficial

  • Experience in application of relevant processes, procedures, such as: DO-178, ISO/IEEE 12207, EMAR21, ABD100/200, ASR (Airbus Supplier Requirements), DEVELOP (incl. legacy CADE, CADM, AIM), APQP

Software Tools

  • Enterprise / System Modelling tools such as Cameo or Enterprise Architect

  • Agile tools Jira / Confluence / Git / Jenkins / other SW relavent tools and applications

  • Requirements Managements tools


  • English: Fluent - negotiation level

  • Plus: German, Spanish, French
