We design today and we will build and operate tomorrow a fleet of airships, the LCA60T, intended for cargo transport. Capable of loading and unloading up to 60 tons of cargo (wood, wind turbine blades, containers, mobile hospitals, etc.) in hovering flight, with a reduced environmental footprint, this transport system is unprecedented.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
In the context of the development of the LCA60T GFEM and the LCA Airframe, we are looking for a Junior Stress Engineer to join the Flying Whales Stress Team in Suresnes.

YOUR MISSIONS:
Analyse mechanical problems, apply principles and practices of structural analysis, and propose innovative approaches for the concerned problem solution.
Assist on the design of key LCA60T components and systems.
Maintain, modify, and improve the Global Finite Element Model (GFEM).
Define, perform, and interpret representative various finite element analyses (parts, assemblies, and global).
Develop in-house tools.
Assist on the definition of Stress methodologies and processes.
Interact with other team elements to define innovative and efficient design solutions.
Perform and interpret analytical stress calculations based on state-of-the-art methodologies.
Redact technical reports which will be ultimately used during the certification process of the LCA60T.

YOUR EDUCATION & EXPERIENCES:
Education: BAC+5 engineering degree (or equivalent) in aeronautical or mechanical field.
Any previous knowledge and motivation related to aeronautical field will be a positive differential for the application.
YOUR COMPETENCIES:
Knowledge of:
o ABAQUS or equivalent FEA software.
o CATIA or equivalent.
o Deformable solids mechanics.
o Finite Elements Analysis.
o Sizing of metallic and composite parts (good notions).
Any previous experience in VBA/Python will be a positive differential for the application.
YOUR QUALITIES:

Open to constructive criticism.
Pragmatic, proactive, and rigorous.
Good team player.
Good communication in English and French.
