Description du poste

Within Flight Physics and Architecture Department, and under the responsibility of the Flight Dynamics Group, you will be in charge of:

  • Conducting open loop dynamic simulations and define the characteristics of the airship using 6DOF simulation model developed in Matlab/Simulink environment and using Flight Gear as the visual interface.
  • Developing and/or reviewing the requirements regarding the flight control law algorithm design.
  • Performing the flight control law algorithm design for airship (autopilot modes, stability augmentation and navigation algorithms in Matlab-Simulink environment)
  • Performing the closed loop analyses and evaluating the flying qualities and the performance with respect to the related European Certification Standards
  • Take all the actions required for the generation of the source code of the algorithm for the real-time hardware in the loop tests,
  • Participating in the SIL and Iron Bird test activities to evaluate and improve the algorithms
  • Participating in the flight test activities and interact with multiple interfacing teams to finalize the FCL design.

Description du profil

You have a relevant - 5/10 years - experience in air vehicle flight control law (FCL) algorithm design, stability and performance analyses of FCL algorithms, 6DOF modeling and simulation !

Skills required:

  • Bachelor's degree, Master of science degree (or engineering diploma) in Aeronautics, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering discipline,
  • High level of experience in Matlab/Simulink and Visual C,
  • Experience and/or a good level of knowledge about pilot-in-the-loop simulations and/or SIL tests,
  • Fluent English.
